How Unique Fundraising Events Like Paint and Sip Boost Community Engagement and Expand Support for Zoomies

Obviously, the hallmark of any good fundraiser is its ability to raise… well, you know… funds. But what really makes one stand out as great?
I guess, for us, an event like this month’s Paint and Sip is a perfect example. Not only was it a sell out crowd, but it was an entirely different crowd. The paying participants were not there because of Zoomies, they were there because of the appeal of the event. In fact, most of them had no idea who we were. Why does this matter? Two big reasons:
It gives us the opportunity to introduce ourselves in person, to share our mission, and to hopefully pick up new friends and followers- increasing our circle of influence.
It means that our revenue stream is diverse and robust. Our funds are not all coming from the same recurring sources- we are tapping into different crowds and markets, and that makes us more sustainable in the long run.
Additionally, events like this also help to strengthen our existing relationships with the businesses that support us. We were able to bring in new patrons and create exposure for the brewery too! Hosting these types of mutually beneficial events allows us all to collaborate for the collective good. Good for Zoomies (and rescue in general), good for the businesses, and good for the community. After all, the money raised goes right back into helping animals and individuals right here in the Sandhills region.
